In Lithuania, e-cigarettes are legal and are regulated as tobacco products. While they can be purchased in general retail outlets, online sales as well as health claims about these products are banned. Advertising is regulated, with restrictions in place to limit promotional activities. The excise duty applied to e-cigarettes is up to 10% of the rate levied on conventional cigarettes. Based on these regulations, new product notifications are required before market entry, and childproof and tamperproof containers must be used. Health warnings on packaging are mandatory, and sales are restricted
