As of 2021, the number of vapers in Indonesia was estimated to be 6 million, corresponding to a 3% vaping prevalence among adults. This includes a prevalence of 0.3% among females and 5.8% among males. Indonesia has adopted a positive regulatory stance towards e-cigarettes. Despite being classifyied as tobacco products, they are treated as consumer goods. As a result, it is legal to use, sell, and market vaping products, and individuals are permitted to purchase them online for personal use. The importation of vaping products and nicotine for trade is allowed, and no prescriptions are required

Heated Tobacco Products (HTPs) are allowed by law in Indonesia, permitting their sale, online purchase, and use. However, health warnings on packaging are required, health claims are prohibited, and there are no restrictions on the flavour range. The excise tax rate is set at more than 50% of the tax levied on cigarettes.

In Indonesia, nicotine pouches are legally allowed, including their sale, online purchase, and use. There are no restrictions on the range of their flavors.
